About Southside FC:

Southside FC is a dynamic and passionate new grassroots soccer club committed to fostering community engagement and excellence in the sport. We are seeking a motivated and creative individual to join our team as a Club Social Media Intern.This internship provides a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in sports social media

Responsibilities:

• Content Creation:

  • Collaborate with the Chief Content Officer to create engaging multimedia content that accurately represents the spirit and values of Southside FC.

  • Develop visuals, videos, and written content for the club website, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, etc.), and any marketing materials.

• Social Media Channel Expansion:

  • Assist in building and expanding the club's presence on various social media channels, including but not limited to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X (Twitter).

• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Work with the Chief Content Officer to develop and track key performance indicators to measure the success of social media initiatives and campaigns.

• Content Calendar Management:

  • Collaborate with the Chief Content Officer to create and maintain a comprehensive content calendar for social media posts, ensuring consistent and strategic messaging.

• Social Media Posting:

  • Create and schedule posts across various social media platforms, adhering to the content calendar and maintaining a consistent brand voice.

• Fan Engagement:

  • Foster and facilitate fan engagement by responding to comments, messages, and mentions on social media platforms.

  • Implement strategies to encourage active participation and interaction among fans.

• Social Media Following Growth:

  • Develop and execute plans to increase Southside FC's social media following across all relevant platforms.

Qualifications:

• Passion for soccer and a strong understanding of social media platforms.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging and shareable content.

• Familiarity with social media analytics and tracking tools is a plus.

• Enthusiastic team player with a proactive approach to tasks.

• Basic graphic design and video editing skills are advantageous.
