How many people can be on the roster?

We aim to roster the teams with about 30 people.

Does it cost anything to play in the league, and what do you receive with that cost?

Yes, there is a cost. It is $200 to join and play with Southside. The fee covers full home and away kits, sanctioning insurance for a year, and your share of the cost for both referees and field rentals for the club.

What is Southside FC?

We are a grassroots soccer club based in Grandview, Missouri, dedicated to growing competitive soccer opportunities in South Kansas City. We field a men’s team, and we are working toward adding a women’s team, and building a youth program to develop future talent in the coming years.

Why start a team out of Grandview?

The owner of Southside FC, Goddard Ogutu, grew up and went to school in Grandview. He has a hope to build something for the community rally around and be excited about.

Is playing time guaranteed if I make the team?

No. Playing time is earned through performance, effort, attitude, and readiness in training. Our coaching staff evaluates players weekly based on these criteria.
